Chef Callie Morehouse is an experienced private chef in Key West and a certified Jersey Girl.

Callie’s been in Key West for more than a decade, moving here from Monmouth County, New Jersey, with her daughter, Maggie, to join her son, Ben, who is a boat captain. In her previous lives, Callie was a craftsman and artist working in faux finishes. But her real love was cooking.

Cooking, she says, encompasses all the senses. Visual. Touch. Smell, Taste. Cooking is the ultimate art medium — and pleasing her clients makes her happy.

Our Story

Private chef services. We specialize in private chef services for couples, families and special events in Key West. We create custom menus, purchase and prepare your meals and clean up afterward. We can do one meal or every meal, cocktail hour, snacks and picnics during your time in Key West. We can provide services for one or for a wedding party. We generally cook on-site in your home or vacation home, using the facilities in the home. We provide many of our own serving pieces. Our pricing can include additional linens, seating and tables. We work with local vendors to provide rental equipment and amenities when large numbers of guests are expected. We can provide table arrangements and decorations, again working with local vendors. We also work closely with UVA of Key West to pair perfect wine selections with your menus.

Provisioning. We encourage visitors to Key West to start their holidays with a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. There’s nothing much more disheartening than opening the door to your vacation home — and then heading straight to the grocery store for food, spirits and necessities. Provisions of Key West will help you prepare a complete list of first-day or first-week needs and we’ll make sure they are in your home and safely put away.

Our Cuisine

Welcome to the Florida Keys and Key West where we celebrate our eclectic cuisine heritage that includes Cuban, Bahamian, Italian and as many varieties of fresh seafood as you could desire.

We make it our mission to source our seafood locally, ensuring you the freshest of today’s catch. We use only high-quality ingredients — and take advantage of the fresh mangoes, avacadoes and Key limes as they come in season.

We believe food should be nourishing, delicious, comforting and beautiful. We’re as happy to whip up a traditional outdoor grilling experience as we are to experiment with today’s fresh seafood. And, we’re known to make a pretty amazing PP&J sandwich for those times you simply, well, want simple.
